Lobby and Public Areas: A Social Theatre of Light and Shadow
The hotel lobby is a stage where light and shadow dance with the furniture. Centred around modular workstation desks, we have paired these with low-profile modular sofa arrangements to create an open and flexible social area. The combination of dark wooden tabletops and metal frames not only echoes the hotel’s industrial architectural style but also conveys a sense of modern design through clean lines. Wall art installations and recessed lighting complement one another, whilst the geometric forms of the furniture and the shifting interplay of light and shadow combine to create a richly layered visual effect, transforming the lobby into an ‘urban living room’ where guests can linger, socialise and find inspiration.
Guest Rooms: The Art of Balancing Tranquillity and Functionality
The guest room design focuses on the dual requirements of ‘comfort’ and ‘efficiency’. The bed features a floating bed frame design, paired with a high-resilience mattress and a minimalist headboard; the concealed strip lighting at the headboard, combined with the upholstered wall panelling, creates a soft glow that adds a warm atmosphere to the sleeping area. The work area is equipped with a cantilever desk and an ergonomic chair, with ample desk space and power sockets to meet the working needs of business guests. The specially designed striped fabric sofa, with its bold orange and blue colour combination, breaks up the monotony of the space; it serves as both a relaxation corner and a temporary small reception area. Every detail of the furniture—from the rounded edges to the concealed storage—reflects a meticulous consideration of space utilisation.
